Job Title: Senior Financial Analyst, Clinical Research

Job Summary:

The Senior Financial Analyst, Clinical Research is the primary contact in the GWCC Clinical Trials Office responsible for monitoring funds flow and ensuring the accuracy of financial data. This position works collaboratively with SMHS finance and the GWU Office of Clinical Research (GWOCR) in compliance, technical, fiscal, and administrative services required to support cancer clinical trials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor revenue generated from clinical trials to ensure accurate accounting and funds flow.
  • Assist with monthly billing and invoicing for funded clinical trials, verifying financial data for accuracy and completeness.
  • Collaborate with research sponsors on budgets that are sufficient to cover costs and are compliant with federal guidelines.
  • Enter event schedules, budgets, billing plans, and other financial information into the Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS) to maintain billing compliance and proper reimbursement.
  • Coordinate the budget process in collaboration with other staff to ensure timely execution of compliant and effective budgets as a part of the clinical trial agreements with sponsors.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization plus 5 years of relevant professional experience, or a Master's degree or higher in a relevant area of study plus 3 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Experience with Oncore or other clinical trial management systems.

Work Environment:

This position is located at the Foggy Bottom campus of George Washington University and requires the employee to work on site.
