Position Overview:
The role involves providing essential administrative support to the Rehabilitation departments. This includes managing clerical tasks such as handling phone communications, organizing schedules, processing insurance authorizations for outpatient services, inputting patient data, delivering excellent customer service, reconciling charges, and performing additional duties as required to enhance Rehabilitation Services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently manage incoming calls and schedule appointments.
- Process insurance authorizations and verify patient information.
- Input and maintain accurate patient data.
- Assist therapists with the care of patients utilizing whirlpool therapy.
- Order supplies and manage inventory for the department.
- Collaborate with external stakeholders including patients, families, physicians, and healthcare professionals.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Experience in medical billing, coding, and insurance processes is essential.
- Proficient in computer operations and familiar with general office equipment.
- Strong organizational abilities and excellent communication skills.
- Minimum of one year of experience in an office or clerical setting.
Work Schedule:
This position is part-time.
