Your Role and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to and surpass company safety standards.
  • Complete all mandatory training, including Safety, OSHA, and ISO 9001.
  • Interpret work instructions to ascertain job specifications, machine adjustments, and material needs.
  • Make necessary modifications to machinery or manufacturing processes.
  • Follow quality plans and apply work instructions and blueprints to identify job specifications and material requirements.
  • Document completed work using the manufacturing system.
  • Position workpieces accurately against stops or align layout marks with dies or blades.
  • Operate machinery by pushing buttons to activate.
  • Monitor machine operations to identify defects in workpieces or malfunctions in machinery.
  • Measure workpiece dimensions to ensure machine operation accuracy using tools such as dial calipers, snap gauges, or micrometers.
  • Perform basic machine maintenance, including oiling machines, dies, or workpieces as per instructions.
  • Stack, mark, pack, and transport finished workpieces.
  • Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications for the Role
  • Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in press operation and/or setup.
  • Ability to read and understand simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Capability to write basic correspondence.
  • Basic English communication skills (speaking, listening, reading, and writing) to effectively interact with English-speaking internal and external stakeholders.
  • Fundamental understanding of computer-based machine controls.
  • Basic knowledge of manufacturing and quality processes.
  • Proficiency in using simple measuring instruments.
  • Ability to adhere to quality plans and work instructions.
  • Familiarity with common tools used in machine operations.
  • Manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude.
  • Competence in basic arithmetic operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to follow detailed but straightforward written or oral instructions.
  • Capable of addressing problems involving a few concrete variables.
