Job Summary

The Food Counter Cashier provides exceptional customer service to all guests at the casino's restaurant, ensuring a positive experience and a future return. As a front-line team member, they are the first point of contact and must provide prompt, courteous, friendly, and professional service at all times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct assigned duties according to procedures, greeting guests quickly and courteously, and filling guests' food and beverage orders.
  • Help service guests as necessary in a team aspect, itemizing totals, and presenting guests with the price for payment.
  • Operate the cash register and properly settle checks, entering guests' checks in the cash register, taking money from customers, and accurately giving back change.
  • Responsible for accurate control of the cash drawer, understanding variance policy, and maintaining a low variance.
  • Assist the Service Attendants/Counter Attendants/Culinary areas when needed.
  • Record all tips collected from credit cards and comps.
  • Handle and solve any concerns and questions from customers.
  • Keep all guest areas clean and neat.
  • Comply with all appearance standards, acting as a role model to other employees, and presenting oneself as a credit to Caesars.
Requirements
  • Must be at least 21 years old or over.
  • High school graduate or GED required, with 1-year experience in customer service.
  • Prior experience as a cashier required, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Must possess basic math skills and be able to count cash accurately.
  • Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team, presenting a well-groomed appearance.
Physical, Mental, and Environmental Demands
  • Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the assigned restaurant throughout the entire shift.
  • Must be able to accurately and quickly process all cash transactions.
  • Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke.
  • Must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations.
