We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food and Beverage Service Associate to join our team at Hornblower Cruises and Events. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests and ensuring a memorable dining experience.
Key Responsibilities- Provide attentive and courteous service to guests in various dining areas, including restaurants, bars, and lounges.
- Take and deliver food and beverage orders, and ensure that all orders are accurate and delivered in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including tables, chairs, and other dining areas.
- Assist with food and beverage preparation, including setting up and breaking down tables, and replenishing supplies.
- Work effectively as part of a team to ensure seamless service and a positive guest experience.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to improve skills and knowledge in food and beverage service.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least two years of experience in a food and beverage service role, preferably in a hospitality or cruise industry setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with guests and colleagues.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask with ease.
- Knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service procedures, including safety and sanitation protocols.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
- Experience in supervising and training others.
- Knowledge of fine wine, wine programs, and wine pairings.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and POS systems.
