Job Title: Forensic Cost Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled Forensic Cost Accountant to join our team at Everest Search Partners. As a key member of our international trade and customs boutique law firm, you will play a critical role in analyzing case submissions and reconciling cost data with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed forensic analyses to uncover financial discrepancies, potential fraud, or irregularities in cost data related to international trade law.

  • Provide expert financial evidence and analysis of cost structures, production data, and pricing strategies to ensure accurate financial reporting and duty assessments.

  • Prepare precise adjustments to cost of production calculations and detailed cost breakdowns for antidumping duty margin calculations, ensuring compliance for submissions to regulatory agencies like the U.S. International Trade Commission (USITC) and the Department of Commerce.

  • Compose comprehensive written analyses for regulatory agencies, providing supporting factual evidence as needed, and facilitating cross-functional teams in understanding the implications of complex financial data on trade analysis.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Economics; CPA, CIA, CMA or CFE certification preferred.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in forensic accounting or cost accounting.

  • Experience with international trade compliance/antidumping is a plus.

  • Skilled in Microsoft Office applications like Word, Access, and Excel.

  • Skilled in SAS.
