About the Role

Metalico is seeking a skilled Burner Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for cutting oversized or large ferrous materials to a size acceptable to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cutting and Fabrication: Utilize an oxy-propane torch to cut oversized ferrous materials to desired specifications.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Inspect and maintain all torch equipment to ensure safe and efficient working conditions.
  • Work Area Maintenance: Inspect and maintain the work area to prevent fire hazards and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Wear and maintain the required PPE, including fire protective clothing, hard hat, face shield, and leather gloves.
  • Material Staging: Ensure all materials are safely and properly staged for processing.
  • Adherence to Company Policies: Strictly adhere to all company and safety rules and regulations regarding the proper use of PPE.
Working Conditions

Working hours are from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with possible Saturday morning hours as needed.
