Position Overview:

ResourceOne is in search of a dedicated Purchasing Agent who will be responsible for overseeing the procurement and purchasing processes. This role requires a strong commitment to integrity and transparency while engaging with both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Procure high-quality finished products, raw materials, and services at competitive prices while ensuring timely delivery.
  2. Utilize purchase requisition data to secure optimal pricing and delivery commitments in accordance with company policies.
  3. Review and validate purchase order requisitions, generate purchase orders, and prepare documentation for supplier award recommendations.
  4. Engage with staff, users, and vendors to address issues related to defective or unsatisfactory goods or services.
  5. Maintain accurate records of purchases, costs, deliveries, product performance, and inventory levels.
  6. Assist in various functions related to Purchasing and Material Control as required.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong negotiating abilities.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in RFQ purchasing preferred.
  • Familiarity with purchasing software such as Hagan (Monarch) or SAP is advantageous.
  • Basic understanding of contract law and commercial printing processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and knowledgeable in ERP/MRP systems.

Education:

A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
