About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Hydrographic Surveyor to join our Marine Operations team at Michels Construction, Inc. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting dredging and construction projects by specializing in the precise positioning of equipment to complete surveys and obtain data in a marine environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support dredging and construction projects by conducting hydrographic surveys and data acquisition
  • Utilize hydrographic data acquisition software and survey tools, GPS equipment, and hydrographic equipment to collect and process data
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate and efficient data collection and processing
  • Develop and implement effective survey plans and strategies to meet project requirements
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Geography, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in hydrographic surveying or a related field
  • Experience utilizing hydrographic data acquisition software and survey tools, GPS equipment, and hydrographic equipment
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
