Pediatric Clinical Nurse

Part-time role, requiring 24 hours per week, with a schedule from Monday to Friday and rotating weekends. This position is onsite.
Role Summary:
The Pediatric Clinical Nurse is responsible for delivering nursing care and providing guidance on clinical matters under the supervision of the attending physicians.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitates efficient operations and high-quality care for pediatric patients, emphasizing teamwork and exceptional customer service.
- Mentors and precepts new staff members, fostering a supportive learning environment.
- Conducts patient assessments as necessary.
- Contributes to the development of educational resources for clinical staff.
- Evaluates clinical competencies and participates in the assessment process for clinical staff at designated intervals.
- Acts as an advocate for pediatric patients and their families, promoting health maintenance and a positive public image.
- Demonstrates the necessary knowledge and skills to address the physical, psychological, social, educational, and safety needs of patients across all age groups.
- Provides consultations and requests additional consults as needed, adhering to hospital protocols.

- Demonstrates outstanding customer service and interpersonal abilities.
- Displays strong organizational capabilities.
- Effectively manages tasks and responsibilities under pressure.
- Has experience interacting with various organizational levels.
- Preferred experience in pediatric outpatient care.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems is preferred.
Qualifications:
Education:
A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is mandatory. Candidates without a BSN must obtain this degree within five years of employment.
- Current Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association is required.
- A valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Ohio is necessary, with a Multistate License (MSL) required within 90 days for certain departments.
Experience:
Minimum of two years of relevant nursing experience is preferred.
Supervisory Experience:
No prior supervisory experience is required.
Work Schedule:
This is a part-time position.
