We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Psychologist to join our growing psychology team at Akron Children's Hospital. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will have the opportunity to work with patients and families affected by complex medical and neurodevelopmental conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality clinical services to patients and families, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of pediatric psychological disorders.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.
- Participate in training and research opportunities, including the training of psychology and neuropsychology fellows, psychology practicum students, and medical residents and fellows.
- Contribute to the development of clinical programs and services for youth with Tic/Tourette Syndrome and cardiology/neurocardiology conditions.
- Ph.D. or Psy.D. in child clinical psychology/pediatric psychology/counseling, including completion of an internship in an APA/CPA-accredited child psychology/pediatric psychology program.
- Eligibility for licensure in Ohio.
- Completion of a formal fellowship/postdoctoral program.
- Experience with medical populations is preferred.
- Board certification through the American Board of Professional Psychology must be obtained within 5 years of hire.
