We are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Assistant to join our team at Highmark Health. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and safe conditions of our hospital's buildings and grounds.
Key Responsibilities- Maintenance and Inspection: Maintain and inspect hospital property to ensure it is safe and well-maintained.
- Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain various equipment such as forklifts, trucks, sweepers/scrubbers, tractors, and power-driven brushes.
- Demolition and Assistance: Perform demolition work on construction sites and hospital grounds, and assist trade persons including painters, carpenters, electricians, mechanics, plumbers, plasterers, and HVAC technicians.
- Snow and Ice Removal: Perform snow and ice removal duties to ensure safe access to hospital facilities.
- Valid PA Driver's License: Possess a valid Pennsylvania driver's license.
- Experience: Have a minimum of 1 year of experience in building and grounds maintenance.
- Forklift Operator Certification: Possess a valid forklift operator's identification card (preferred).
