Job Overview

Andretti Indoor Karting & Games is in search of a skilled Construction Project Supervisor to enhance our operations.

Position Summary

The Construction Project Supervisor will oversee and manage a variety of construction initiatives from inception to completion. The primary focus will be on large-scale family entertainment facilities across multiple locations. The ideal candidate should possess comprehensive knowledge of construction techniques and be adept at coordinating a diverse team of professionals to achieve optimal outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to integrate project specifications and ensure compliance with corporate standards throughout the construction process.
  • Develop cost estimates, budgets, and project timelines.
  • Prepare Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for General Contractors, address relevant Requests for Information (RFIs), and evaluate construction bids.
  • Recruit contractors and vendors while negotiating advantageous pricing and terms.
  • Secure and manage all necessary permits and licenses.
  • Collaborate with third-party and governmental inspectors.
  • Plan construction activities and schedule phases to meet project deadlines.
  • Document and manage all project modifications, including change orders and RFIs.
  • Oversee project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and submittals.
  • Review contractor payment applications and provide necessary feedback.
  • Assess resource requirements (manpower, equipment, materials) while adhering to budget constraints.
  • Coordinate with external vendors to ensure timely installation schedules.
  • Conduct regular project meetings with design and construction teams to facilitate effective communication and resolve on-site issues.
  • Manage construction timelines and adapt schedules for timely project completion and openings.
  • Supervise subcontractors and laborers for smaller internal projects as needed.
  • Evaluate project progress and compile detailed reports. Conduct quality inspections to ensure compliance with project standards.
  • Oversee final inspections and ensure all outstanding items and requests are addressed to the satisfaction of the owner.
  • Facilitate the transition of the project to the owner's operations and maintenance team.
  • Prepare and finalize all project documentation, including as-built drawings and warranties.
  • Conduct a project review to identify lessons learned and opportunities for improvement in future projects.
  • Ensure compliance with all company, industry, and applicable governmental health and safety regulations.

QualificationsRequired:
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Demonstrated experience as a construction project manager.
  • Thorough understanding of construction processes, materials, and project management principles.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze comprehensive construction drawings and specifications.
  • Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Project.
  • Experience with construction/project management software such as Bluebeam Revu and Autodesk products.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Minimum age of 18 years.
Preferred:
  • Based in Orlando.
  • A collaborative team player with leadership capabilities.
  • 3-5 years of project management experience.
  • Experience as an Owner Representative.
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • PMP or equivalent certification.
