Key Responsibilities
  • Member Service
    • Provide personalized service to members, responding to their needs and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
    • Act as a subject matter expert on credit union products and services, making recommendations to members and promoting cross-selling opportunities.
  • Teller Transactions
    • Process teller transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and transfers, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
    • Verify transactions, monitor deposit amounts, and examine documents for endorsement and negotiability.
  • Loan Processing
    • Evaluate basic loan applications and credit criteria, determining the appropriate sale for the member and credit union.
    • Interview, take applications, and process preliminary documentation on loan requests, discussing loan alternatives, credit criteria, interest rates, and loan documentation with members.
  • Electronic Services
    • Act as a branch expert for electronic services, promoting and cross-selling AFCU electronic services such as mobile banking, online banking, card guard, bill pay, and mobile deposit.
    • Assist members with account lockouts or other online account problems.
  • New Accounts
    • Assist members with new account openings and closing of member accounts.
    • Direct members to appropriate contacts to assist with more advanced and specialized accounts when necessary.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • High school graduate or equivalent.
    • Two years of varied office experience.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent communications and public relations skills.
    • Strong typing abilities (60 wpm with acceptable accuracy & neatness).
    • Solid math and bookkeeping abilities.
    • Able to operate calculator, word processor, and related computer applications.
    • Well organized.
    • Professional appearance, dress, and attitude.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position, requiring 40 hours of work per week. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
