Clinical Nurse II

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse II to provide effective coverage for various roles in Perinatal Services, including clinical staff nurses, patient care coordinators, and scrub techs. As a Perinatal Break Nurse, you will ensure seamless collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement plans of care for assigned patients, coordinating care between other disciplines and support staff.
Key Responsibilities- Provide professional nursing duties that incorporate the psychomotor and age-appropriate cognitive skills of the patient/family/significant other to assess, plan, intervene, and advocate for the patient ensuring quality continuum of care.
- Act as a role model and mentor to students and nurses new to the unit.
- Ensure effective coverage for clinical staff nurses, patient care coordinators, and scrub techs as needed.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in Perinatal Services.
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- All external candidates must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
- Ability to work variable shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to maintain flexibility and work well in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
- Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
- AWHONN Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring (required within 6 months of hire).
- Understanding of applicable regulatory requirements.
- Previous experience working as a clinical lead or charge nurse.
- Demonstrated experience scrubbing in surgical procedures.
- Bilingual skills to communicate effectively with patients and families.
- RN.
- NRP.
- BLS.
- ACLS.
