Senior Contracts Manager Job Description

Kratos Defense & Security Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Senior Contracts Manager to join our team. As a key member of our contracting team, you will be responsible for creating, negotiating, and finalizing contracts between our company and clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, negotiate, and manage Government contracts/subcontracts, including SBIR Phase III.
  • Review and approve contractual documents to ensure compliance with company policies and government regulations.
  • Advise management on contractual rights and obligations, and provide interpretation of terms and conditions.
  • Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure efficient operation of the function.
  • Serve as the customer point of contact for all contractual matters during contract formation and administration.
  • Manage and administer contracts to ensure compliance with corporate policies and FAR and DFAR regulations.
  • Evaluate contracts for conformance with company policies and standards to meet business objectives.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions proposals, contracts, modifications, and other agreements.
  • Provide creative solutions to reviewing solicitations, statements of work, schedules, and deliverables.
  • Assist in evaluating organizational conflict of interest issues and prepare mitigation strategies.
  • Make decisions on contract actions that are not well defined or lack precedence.
  • Provide guidance on contract matters to project managers and other operational staff.
  • Manage diverse employees to achieve individual, team, and organizational success.
  • Perform basic administration of contracts/subcontracts, including contract processing, project set-up, and closeout.
  • Manage centralized file storage and documentation system for contract-related materials.
  • Establish and maintain excellent customer relations both internally and externally.
Requirements:
  • 5-7 years minimum Government Contract experience, including SBIR Phase III.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to navigate complex contractual agreements.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Familiarity with contract management software and tools.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Supervisory experience.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • SharePoint experience.
  • SBIR III Phase III contract experience.
  • TS/SCI Security Clearance.
