- Dispose of trash in a timely manner, contributing to a clean and organized workspace.
- Groom, play with, and administer treatment to animals under the guidance of the Veterinarian.
- Accompany animals on walks, if required, promoting their physical and emotional well-being.
- Calm animals who are in distress, providing a safe and comforting environment.
- Adjust the air temperature to ensure animals remain comfortable, maintaining a pleasant atmosphere.
- Report significant changes in animal functioning to the Veterinarian or medical professional on duty.
- Evacuate all animals in case of an emergency, prioritizing their safety.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- At least one year of experience, preferably in animal care or a related field.
- Experience handling a variety of animals, with a focus on providing excellent care.
- Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with a focus on maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
- Basic math and writing skills, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to express compassion and empathy towards animals, with a focus on providing exceptional care.
- Availability to work during evenings, weekends, and public holidays, if required.
