Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Database Developer to join our team at Wheeler Staffing Partners in Addison, TX. This hybrid role requires 3 days in-office, with a possibility of scaling back to 2 days a week in the future. The successful candidate will focus on analyzing healthcare financial data and building insightful reports to drive business decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Business Users and Analysts: Work closely with business stakeholders and analysts to gather and understand reporting requirements, ensuring that data-driven insights are delivered to support informed decision-making.
  • Analyze Healthcare Financial Data: Utilize advanced data analysis techniques to extract meaningful insights from large datasets, identifying trends and patterns that inform business strategy.
  • Develop and Standardize Reporting Objects: Design, build, and maintain robust reporting objects, data structures, and logic at the database layer, ensuring data quality and integrity.
  • Design, Build, and Automate Power BI Reports: Create interactive and dynamic Power BI reports that provide actionable insights, ensuring flexibility, scalability, and quality.
  • Adhere to Best Practices: Ensure that all development, QA, deployment, and source code management processes are aligned with industry best practices, promoting efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Maintain Proper Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including walkthroughs of definitions and metrics, to support knowledge sharing and collaboration.
  • Coordinate with Other Developers: Collaborate closely with other developers to streamline processes, optimize performance, and ensure seamless integration of systems.
  • Gain Deep Understanding of Underlying Data: Develop a thorough understanding of underlying data and business rules to support other teams and drive informed decision-making.
  • Utilize Agile Methodology: Apply agile principles and practices to track and communicate progress on deliverables, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Identify and Implement Improvement Opportunities: Proactively identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance processes, systems, and overall performance.
  • Build and Maintain Strong Relationships: Foster strong relationships with business and IT users, both onshore and offshore, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 4+ Years of Experience: Possess 4+ years of experience building objects in SQL Server, including tables, stored procedures, and views.
  • 3+ Years of Experience: Have 3+ years of experience building reports in Power BI.
  • 1+ Year of Experience: Possess 1+ year of experience using Agile methodology.
  • 1+ Year of Experience: Have 1+ year of experience working with Healthcare or Financial data.
  • Strong Analytical Skills: Demonstrate strong ability to quickly understand data relationships and analyze data.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Possess exceptional communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Initiative-Driven: Be initiative-driven and capable of managing and completing multiple concurrent projects timely.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management Data: Possess experience working with Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management data (highly desired).
  • Experience with Azure DevOps: Have experience with Azure DevOps.
  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent: Possess a Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience Working with Offshore Teams: Have experience working with offshore teams.
