Reporting Manager

The Intersect Group is seeking a skilled Reporting Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for analyzing healthcare financial data and building reports that provide valuable insights into our operational and financial health.

This is a technical, hands-on, and data-driven position that will lead a small team of Data Analysts and Report Developers. You will work closely with Business Users, Billing, Finance, and Database and Application team members to deliver high-quality reports and metrics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather and document business and functional requirements and specifications
  • Take ownership of quality and consistency across all reports and metrics, and help consolidate
  • Analyze data, build database tables, stored procedures, and reports to deliver requested information
  • Lead a small team of data analysts/report developers and manage deliverables
  • Work closely with Database & Application Team, and other stakeholders to coordinate on projects
  • Work with business owners to define priorities, plan, develop, test, and deploy
  • Help define key metrics that would provide more insight and gain approval for development
  • Understand business processes and map them to underlying data elements
  • Identify gaps and issues between different data elements in the pipeline/process and resolve them
  • Automate and streamline delivery of reports and alerts
  • Document reports, definitions, and tasks due, escalate issues, and communicate progress
  • Collaborate with the team and other developers to help establish standard practices
  • Work across different business units to identify data dependencies and set up necessary controls
  • Build and maintain strong relationships between different business units to help collaborate
  • Assist with other analysis, development, QA as needed

Requirements:

  • 5+ years analyzing data and writing queries/stored procedures in SQL Server
  • 3+ years building reports and dashboards in Power BI
  • 1+ years building reports in Excel
  • 2+ years managing a team of data analysts or developers
  • Ability to quickly grasp and articulate dependencies between processes and data
  • Strong ability to analyze data and pay attention to detail
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
  • Takes initiative and can manage and complete multiple concurrent projects in a timely manner

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience working with Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management data (highly desired)
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combinations of education and experience
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment
