Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at NeueHealth. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing administrative and clinical support to our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Taking patient vital signs and medical histories
  • Preparing patients for medical tests and examinations
  • Assisting physicians during examinations
  • Explaining medical procedures to patients
  • Sterilizing medical instruments
  • Removing sutures
  • Calling or electronically entering prescriptions into pharmacies
  • Preparing patients for X-rays
  • Administering topical, oral, or intramuscular medications
  • Transcribing all notes and documents related to treatments

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant or diploma from an accredited school
  • A minimum of one year experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinic, physician practice, or urgent care setting

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of medical correspondence and managing electronic medical records
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Experience as a Phlebotomist
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Team player, able to work with providers and other team members of the care team
  • Bilingual (English and another language)
