Agricultural Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Agricultural Operations Manager to lead our Kearney location. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of store operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales in equipment, service, and parts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote sales, rental, and product support for all agricultural products represented by Butler Ag Equipment.
- Manage store revenue and operating costs to achieve reasonable profit margins.
- Analyze monthly financial statements, market share reports, and KPIs to identify areas for improvement.
- Review customer account balances and assist with collections.
- Collaborate with the management team to set realistic and attainable goals and forecasts.
- Provide guidance to the store's management team on establishing departmental procedures, addressing problem-solving issues, and improving customer satisfaction.
- Partner with the regional Product Support Manager and other department heads to ensure consistent application of company-wide policies.
- Direct the management of sales personnel, including assigning market territories, providing guidance and training, and managing sales funnels.
- Manage key accounts and monitor targeted margins, used trade values, and sales performance metrics.
- Review buyer's and rental orders for accuracy and compliance with company programs.
- Ensure a safe and clean work environment for all associates by promoting Butler Ag Equipment's safety culture.
- Provide regular safety training and technical job training for all associates.
- Assist with industry-related trade shows and participate in industry associations.
- Embody the vision, mission, and values of Butler Ag Equipment.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Supervise sales workforce, department managers, and support staff.
- Organize, communicate, and delegate responsibilities and priorities to subordinates.
- Encourage and monitor career development, providing technical training, coaching, and expertise as needed.
- Ensure compliance with performance standards through coaching, counseling, and conducting performance reviews.
- Provide regular and timely feedback to recognize employee performance, motivate employees, and promote self-development.
Requirements:
- Management experience, preferably in a related industry, or equivalent experience, training, and background.
- Prior sales experience is beneficial.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Accounting and finance skills.
- Equipment and industry knowledge.
- Good computer knowledge with experience in Microsoft Suite.
