Job Title: General Laborer

We are seeking a highly skilled General Laborer to join our team at Midlands Contracting. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of manual labor tasks with minimal direction.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will be required to work in a variety of weather conditions and be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds individually or as a team.

Responsibilities
  • Perform manual labor tasks such as cleaning, painting, and repairing equipment
  • Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts and excavators
  • Assist in the maintenance and repair of company vehicles
  • Work in a team environment to complete projects on time and within budget
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1-2 years of experience in a manual labor or construction-related field
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds individually or as a team
  • Valid driver's license and excellent driving record preferred
