About the Position:

As a Sales Tax Analyst II at TD SYNNEX, you will play a crucial role in assisting the Tax Supervisor and Senior Manager with the management of the sales tax certificate process. Your main duties will focus on ensuring adherence to established guidelines to reduce potential tax liabilities for TD SYNNEX and its subsidiaries. You will also participate in the preparation for sales/use tax audits, conduct research, and resolve tax-related inquiries to help minimize the overall tax burden for the organization. This role presents an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong customer service abilities to embark on their career path in the finance industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support management in overseeing the CIS order screens and facilitate interdepartmental communications.
  • Assist in training the sales tax team and addressing discrepancies in customer accounts and tax documentation.
  • Compile and maintain reports, special projects, and tasks assigned by management, including self-audits and sales/use audits.
  • Serve as a liaison with various departments and clients to resolve sales tax matters.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in working with state compliance regulations and stay informed on current guidelines across all 50 states and Canada.
  • Assist management with special projects, audit research, and gathering customer data for auditor presentations.
Qualifications:
  • Capability to gather research data from diverse sources, analyze information, and propose suitable actions.
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure, managing high workloads and meeting deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the capacity to communicate clearly and courteously with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficient in following instructions, articulating ideas clearly, and maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Basic mathematical skills, organizational capabilities, and proficiency in relevant software applications.
  • An associate degree in business or a related field is preferred, along with experience in customer service.
  • Experience in leading or directing the workflow of others is a plus.
