Position Requirements: This role necessitates an onsite presence at our corporate headquarters, with flexibility for remote work on Fridays. Collaboration in a shared workspace is essential for nurturing creativity and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Comprehend the company's accounting practices in relation to tax obligations.
  • Establish methods for gathering, validating, and summarizing data for tax purposes.
  • Oversee and maintain the income tax provision in accordance with ASC740 standards.
  • Implement process controls to ensure data accuracy and relevance.
  • Meet financial reporting deadlines by delivering tax documentation.
  • Manage the company's income tax provision and compliance software.
  • Coordinate with auditors for financial reporting.
  • Support the Head of Tax in defining applicable tax strategies.
  • Clarify tax positions and resolve discrepancies.
  • Assist in prioritizing tasks that add value to the organization.
  • Monitor processes across departments for efficiency and completion.
  • Guide and mentor tax associates.
  • Participate in or lead special projects as necessary.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or accounting is preferred.
  • Certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent is mandatory.
  • A minimum of four years of experience in Income Tax compliance is required.
  • At least two years of experience in Income Tax Accounting (ASC 740) and reporting is necessary.
  • Experience in international tax matters is advantageous.
  • Three years of experience in preparing and analyzing financial data in a corporate environment is essential.
  • Strong understanding of general accounting principles and corporate income taxation is crucial.
  • Proficient mathematical skills to perform required tasks.
  • Alternatively, a combination of education, training, or experience may be considered.
  • Experience in reviewing and preparing work papers and memos for income tax accounting (ASC740) is required.
  • Ability to manage the financial audit process effectively.
  • Experience in reviewing and preparing memos for various tax positions, including income tax and property tax.
  • Ability to manage and review monthly or quarterly tax account reconciliations.
  • Experience in analyzing tax impacts from specific transactions and changes in tax law.
  • Commitment to adopting effective processes and procedures.
