Key Responsibilities:


Collaborate with Sales Leadership and essential stakeholders to assist in the creation and management of incentive compensation frameworks aligned with Staples' philosophy and corporate objectives.

Work closely with internal teams, including HR, Finance, and Legal, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.


Oversee the accuracy of Incentive Compensation reporting, analytics, and final outputs, ensuring thorough validation and approval in accordance with established timelines and procedures.

Respond to inquiries from the Field regarding variable compensation plans and sales contests.


Develop and refine training materials and resources for the Field to enhance their understanding of incentive plans and award programs.


Identify opportunities for improvement, collaborate with stakeholders to devise solutions, and take responsibility for implementing long-term action plans.

Contribute to the establishment and documentation of best practices, templates, policies, and tools to ensure consistency and scalability.


For additional projects and award initiatives, serve as a program manager, defining strategic objectives, measurement systems, and success criteria.


Assist in reviewing and processing compensation exceptions, ensuring fairness across the sales organization and considering precedents in all exception decisions.


Create presentations for Sales Leadership on topics such as performance analysis, commission payment evaluations, and summarizing proposed solutions to business challenges.


Qualifications:

An enthusiastic approach focused on enhancing sales performance and encouraging profitable behaviors.

A collaborative spirit aimed at achieving success together with the Field and cross-functional partners.

A creative mindset for proactively addressing challenges and resolving them, supported by strong project management skills.

Ability to craft presentations that effectively communicate to the intended audience, suitable for presentation to Sales Leadership or C-Suite executives.

Experience in managing ambiguous projects, defining scope, drawing inferences from available data, and recommending solutions.

Exceptional skills in managing internal customers and external partners.

A proven history of meeting and exceeding stakeholder expectations.

Strong analytical and quantitative abilities.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Capacity to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.


Basic Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in Sales Operations, Incentive Compensation, Analytics, and/or Finance.


Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in a rapidly growing, dynamic organization.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Familiarity with Anaplan or similar commission software.

Experience with Salesforce or other CRM systems.

Knowledge of SQL, PowerBI, and/or Tableau.
