Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct testing, maintenance, and repairs on hydraulic systems related to well control.
  • Inspect, service, and repair various mechanical equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Develop and manage schedules for equipment utilization, while assessing performance metrics.
  • Maintain accurate records and logs as mandated by company protocols.
  • Prepare detailed reports on significant equipment failures, modifications, and maintenance history.
  • Ensure the completion and handover of reports, logs, and records in accordance with established procedures.
  • Plan and manage work activities effectively, identifying and mitigating potential hazards.
  • Delegate tasks to team members, ensuring they possess the necessary skills to perform their duties.
  • Service and repair refrigeration systems and equipment as required.
  • Create work plans for teams, ensuring availability of necessary parts, tools, and documentation.
  • Oversee the STAR maintenance system to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with electricians as part of the maintenance team when necessary.
  • Manage inventory of parts and supplies to support maintenance activities.
  • Actively engage in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and pre-job discussions to promote a safe working environment.
  • Continuously develop personal competencies to enhance job performance.
  • Control inventory levels and adhere to budgetary constraints.
Candidate Profile
  • Qualified technician with hands-on experience in well control hydraulic systems.
  • Familiarity with Cameron or NOV surface and subsea BOP control systems.
  • Proficient in diagnosing and repairing hydraulic control systems and drilling choke manifolds.
  • Skilled in interpreting hydraulic schematics for troubleshooting and providing technical support.
  • Adept at managing documentation for new and replacement parts to ensure compliance.
  • Proficient in IT applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems.
