Accounting Development Program Overview

The Accounting Development Program is a unique opportunity for talented individuals to join our team and contribute to the success of American Honda Motor. As an accountant, you'll play a critical role in supporting our business operations, ensuring financial accuracy, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of American Honda Motor's accounting policies, practices, and standards
  • Develop basic skills for Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA), problem-solving, and decision management
  • Understand capital investment and manpower/labor expense process flows
  • Prepare journal entries for financial transactions, reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, and analysis of financial information for decision support to management
  • Monitor and track financial performance of various operation divisions of American Honda Motor

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, highly self-motivated, and organized
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Understanding of principles of both US-GAAP and IFRS accounting standards
  • Good understanding of financial statements and how they're used by those inside and outside the organization
  • Two (2) years or less of experience (preferred)
  • Co-op/Internship experience (preferred)
  • Willingness to relocate to various American Honda Motor locations throughout North America
