About the Role

Balfour Beatty is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Engineer to join our team in Falls Church, VA. As a Project Engineer, you will play a key role in the planning and execution of construction projects, working closely with the Project Manager and Sr. Project Engineer to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the planning and coordination of construction projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Manage and maintain project schedules, budgets, and quality control processes.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including reports, minutes, and other records.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager and Sr. Project Engineer to develop and implement project plans, including risk management and mitigation strategies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in construction project management or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Project.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in construction project management or a related field.
  • Experience with construction software, including project management and estimating tools.
  • Certifications in construction management, such as the Certified Construction Manager (CCM) or the Project Management Professional (PMP).
