Director of Supply Chain Operations

BAE Systems is seeking an experienced Director of Supply Chain to lead and guide a geographically dispersed team of supply chain professionals within our Adaptive Communications & Sensing (AC&S) Product Line.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage a team of supply chain professionals to ensure the technical, financial, schedule, and quality performance of all supply chain activities.
- Develop and implement strategies to reduce risk and drive long-term affordability for AC&S.
- Collaborate with functional, product line, and business area leadership to ensure alignment and effective communication.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
- Develop and execute training and development plans for the supply chain team to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
- Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in supply chain management, with a strong background in procurement, subcontracts, logistics, and planning.
- Proven leadership and organizational change experience, with the ability to motivate and manage personnel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and departments.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to find win-win solutions and drive results.
- Financial acumen and experience with commercial and/or FAR/DFAR terms and conditions.
- Root Cause/Corrective Action skills and experience in Procurement and supplier performance & relationship management.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems, including Oracle and SAP.
- Master's degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
- Proven experience building and managing a Supply Chain organization, with a strong leadership track record and thorough understanding of Operations practices.
- ACSM certification and experience with Lean and Six Sigma process improvements.
- Willingness and desire for continuous improvement, with a strong commitment to self-development and taking on new challenges.
- Competitive salary range: $128,100 - $217,800.
