POSITION OVERVIEW:

Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager and Project Manager, this role is primarily focused on assisting the service project manager with various responsibilities. The ideal candidate will excel in fostering, nurturing, and enhancing ongoing relationships with service clients. This position aims to cultivate the skills of future Service Sales Engineers and Service Project Managers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drafting Client Proposals: Prepare comprehensive proposals for repairs, unit replacements, and maintenance agreements, ensuring clarity in scope, exclusions, and general conditions.
  • Conducting Jobsite Surveys: Visit job sites or gather information from field technicians to create accurate job cost estimates and alternative solutions for client challenges. Proficiency in obtaining equipment pricing from vendors is essential.
  • Estimating Ductwork and Piping: Develop takeoff skills for estimating job costs and defining proposal scopes, requiring the ability to interpret construction drawings and apply strong mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Performing Load Calculations: Utilize third-party software to execute load calculations for determining heating and cooling requirements.
  • Promoting Maintenance Agreements: Gain an understanding of the ACCOCare, ACCOGuard, and ACCOServe maintenance contracts, reviewing work orders to assess coverage and preparing necessary documentation.
  • Building and Sustaining Client Relationships: Actively seek new clients while ensuring existing customers are satisfied and informed about all services offered.
  • Collaborating with Field Personnel: Effectively communicate the scope of work for sold projects to field teams, providing assistance in problem-solving during job execution and participating in pre-job discussions.
  • Upholding Professional Ethics: Maintain fairness and honesty in all interactions with external and internal customers, vendors, and colleagues, fostering long-term beneficial relationships.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A minimum of three years of experience in the HVAC service sector, along with an associate degree in HVAC. A solid understanding of HVAC and control systems is required.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to engage effectively with diverse personality types.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience in customer relations and conflict resolution.
  • Technical knowledge of HVAC equipment, ductwork, and piping.
  • Awareness of the importance of maximizing technician productivity.
  • Excellent verbal, written, listening, and computer skills.
  • A valid driver's license and auto liability insurance are mandatory.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical requirements for this position include the ability to regularly lift, push, pull, carry, and/or move up to 10-15 pounds, and occasionally up to 30 pounds. Regular walking, standing, and sitting are necessary, along with frequent use of hands and fingers for handling and operating equipment. The role also requires good vision and the ability to operate a motor vehicle.

WORKING HOURS:

This position typically follows a Monday to Friday schedule from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

Travel is expected to be approximately 25% of the time, involving visits to regional branch offices and customer job sites.

COMPENSATION:

The annual salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $120,000, with actual compensation determined by various factors unique to each candidate, including skills, experience, certifications, education, and work location.
