Job Summary

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals at Dungarvin. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in assisting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, behavioral or medical complexities, in a residential setting and/or community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide hands-on assistance, encouragement, mentoring, and guidance to individuals with disabilities.
  • Ensure the comfort, safety, and personal growth of the individuals we serve.
  • Assist with daily living tasks such as moving around, getting in and out of bed, dressing, bathing, personal hygiene, and more.
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation.
  • Build relationships with persons served and teammates.
  • Attend special community occasions and fun activities like outdoor walks, games, and social events.
  • Transport persons served to appointments or other activities outside the home.
  • Empower people with disabilities to live life to the fullest.
  • Document progress, milestones, and action steps.
Requirements
  • Prefer experience working with persons with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
  • 18 years or older.
  • 21 years or older to work in child foster care homes.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record as determined by Dungarvin policy.
  • Current auto liability insurance.
  • Computer skills for documentation.
  • Ability to perform personal cares.
