Job Title: Branch Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Branch Manager to lead our warehouse operations at Restaurant Depot. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the Branch, providing exceptional customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement strategies to improve Branch performance, including sales growth, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
  2. Lead and manage a team of warehouse staff, including assistant branch managers and department managers, to ensure timely and accurate management of all warehouse operations.
  3. Ensure compliance with established policies and procedures, including safety, personnel, security, and inventory control.
  4. Review financial and operational reports to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary actions.
  5. Define and communicate service standards and operational mission to employees and monitor activities to meet Branch goals.
  6. Maximize sales opportunities by ensuring high levels of customer service and proper scheduling of the workforce.
  7. Manage selection, annual performance appraisals, and professional development of all management-level personnel.
  8. Directly supervise and manage assistant branch managers and department managers.
  9. Coach managers on employee relation issues, including new hires, transfers, promotions, demotions, and disciplinary action.
  10. Maintain communication with Corporate Offices to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as state and federal laws and regulations.
  11. Review inventory on a regular basis to ensure accuracy and in-house products.
  12. Complete and process necessary reports and paperwork accurately and timely.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree (preferred but not required).
  2. Minimum 4 years of management experience in food service or grocery distribution in a supermarket, club warehouse, big box, or mass merchandising environment.
  3. Background in P&L, inventory control, merchandising, hiring/training staff, front-end, merchandising, cash control, payroll, security/loss prevention mandatory.
  4. Strong leadership skills, capable of running a high-volume warehouse operation.
  5. Excellent communication, organizational, and people management/training skills, with a strong customer service orientation.
  6. Commitment to company values and strong customer orientation.

Work Environment:

  1. The ambient temperature will be moderate, with areas that are cold (e.g., the Freezer) and hot (e.g., the Damages area).
  2. The work is mostly performed standing/walking – must be able to stand/walk for up to 4 hours without a break.
  3. Physical labor is infrequent but may be required to move merchandise or clean areas.
  4. Industrial vehicles (forklifts, Hilo) will be moving material throughout the warehouse.
