Job Description

As a Business Support Analyst at Puget Sound Energy, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Trade Ally Network (TAN) business needs and requirements. Your responsibilities will include performing quantitative and qualitative analysis, as well as reporting, to drive business decisions. You will also provide technical support and consultation for various database systems and reports used throughout the department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide related application maintenance, troubleshooting, and training for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist with application system implementation, testing, and/or upgrades as appropriate.
  • Input data and evaluate the output from departmental modeling tools, benchmarking comparisons, and performance reporting.
  • Initiate, lead, and perform analysis; provide/present recommendations.
  • Provide ad-hoc data analysis, which may include research and review of issues, and follow-on response.
  • Coordinate and support data requests from internal or external sources.
  • Assist with departmental initiatives, new analysis development, and process improvement, on an as-needed basis.
  • May lead project teams on various related business initiatives.
  • Support Program Manager and Program Coordinator with analytics and reporting.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in business, economics, finance, or related, and 3 years experience in quantitative/qualitative analysis; or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience.
  • Experience working with relational database systems (querying, analysis, reporting).
  • Strong computer skill utilizing MS Office Suite (Excel, Access, Word, Outlook).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to understand and explain technical concepts.
  • Excellent writing, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Experience and desire to work in a team environment.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills. Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment and prioritize assignments.

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field.
  • Project management skills.
  • Experience leading teams.
  • Related business-specific experience may include: Advanced relational database familiarity (SQL, Oracle). Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat Pro. Knowledge of programming language (Visual Basic, SQL, VB.NET, HTML). Knowledge of rate-making process. Familiarity with SAP, Salesforce, Microsoft PowerBI.
