Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Specialist to join our Federal Advisory practice. As a Senior Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing robust data pipelines and ETL processes using Databricks and other relevant technologies to support financial data workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and Implement Data Pipelines
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines utilizing Databricks
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver scalable solutions
- Ensure Data Quality and Integrity
- Use testing frameworks and monitoring tools to ensure data quality, integrity, and reliability throughout the pipeline
- Maintain and Enhance Data Pipelines
- Optimize and tune data pipelines for performance and efficiency in cloud environments
- Implement Best Practices
- Implement best practices for data governance, security, and compliance in handling financial data
- Document Technical Specifications
- Document technical specifications, data flows, and processes to ensure transparency and reproducibility
Qualifications
- A minimum of three years of data engineering/analytics experience; U.S. Federal government consulting experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university
- Experience designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines utilizing Databricks
- Knowledge of cloud-based data technologies, preferably in AWS or Azure (e.g. - AWS EMR, S3, Azure HDInsight, Blob Storage)
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and systems/tools (e.g. - Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Oracle, SAP HANA)
- Experience working in Agile environments utilizing Project Management/Jira tools, version control systems (e.g. - Git) and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong understanding of relational database concepts, and ability to navigate through data models in support of data triage
- Ability to travel as required to support firm engagements
- Applicant must possess a U.S. Government Secret clearance
