Position Overview

This role is pivotal in ensuring the effective definition, execution, and delivery of intricate programs that necessitate collaboration across various functions and interdependencies among a collection of projects and associated activities, all while adhering to the constraints of scope, quality, time, and budget, particularly in scenarios involving multiple moderate-probability, moderate-impact risk factors. This position oversees a matrix of personnel and contractors engaged in project teams and departmental work groups to realize a coordinated advantage.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with leadership to form project teams and work groups to generate deliverables essential for achieving the goals of a specified corporate program. Guide project managers and work group leaders in crafting and sustaining comprehensive plans for the designated corporate program. Organize, direct, and synchronize cross-functional efforts to concentrate corporate resources on the successful delivery and execution of the anticipated outcomes for a specified corporate program and/or strategic initiative. Engage with the executive sponsor of a corporate program (VP or higher) and other management as necessary to fulfill the objectives of a defined corporate program. Attain a thorough understanding of the business goals for the assigned area. Monitor and assess the progress, alignment, and financial viability of a cross-functional array of projects and related activities that collectively constitute a defined corporate program. Implement corrective measures as necessary to uphold the program's viability. If needed, report to the executive team/sponsor/steering committee regarding the progress, business implications, and strategies concerning the program(s). Evaluate risks that could hinder the successful realization of the desired outcomes of a program, formulate risk mitigation strategies and tactics, and execute risk mitigation plans. As required, collaborate with procurement to devise and implement strategies related to service/asset contracts. As necessary, manage the vendor according to the responsibilities outlined in the contract and statement of work. Perform other duties as assigned or requested.

Educational Qualifications

Minimum

High School Diploma / GED

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a Technology Management-related field MBA or Master's Degree in a Technology Management-related discipline

Professional Experience

Minimum

7 -10 years of professional experience in project management or 7-10 years of professional experience delivering business solutions utilizing information technology

Preferred

Project Management experience within a Health Insurance organization

Certifications

Required

None

Preferred

PMP or Certification in Project Management
