Salary: $176,300 - $207,500 per annum

About the Role

The successful candidate will oversee the planning and execution of information technology projects while ensuring quality controls over technology decisions. This role involves leading a technical team, collaborating with key stakeholders, and meeting scope, timeline, and budget expectations. Additionally, the IT Program Manager will provide oversight and connections from the project to other technology groups and the security team as needed. They will accurately articulate milestone progress and communicate with executive leadership teams regarding project risks and issues. Furthermore, this individual will develop and maintain quality assurance standards for information technology, evaluating new requirements and upcoming risks to determine mitigation strategies and escalation needs to maintain project execution plans.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and guidance to a group of direct reports, including IT program management resources.
  • Coordinate technology needs and decisions for assigned projects with other technology groups and stakeholders.
  • Ensure the successful execution of project deliverables by assisting in the resolution of project risks, actions, issues, and decisions.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to assigned project resources.
  • Set technology direction within the project to maintain alignment with BHE standards while also meeting stakeholder needs.
  • Ability to work across other technology groups to review project requirements and expectations while providing alternatives if needed.
  • Develop presentations and supporting documentation to communicate key milestone progress updates for leadership.
  • Utilize project tools such as Azure DevOps (ADO) and Oracle Primavera Cloud (OPC) to provide updates and actions on project tasks.
  • Work closely with project management and other project stakeholders to align and deliver guidance and direction to the assigned project resources.
  • Continuously seek out and, when appropriate, recommend opportunities for efficiencies within the project execution.
  • Ability to professionally coordinate and communicate with all program stakeholders including IT, business partners, and vendors.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, or a related business or technical field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Eight years of information technology and/or project management experience.
  • Experience in information technology system operation/environment and/or development.
  • Understanding of agile methods, processes, and key concepts.
  • Understanding of the system development lifecycle within an enterprise.
  • Ability to coordinate across teams to accomplish tasks.
  • Effective project management skills and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
  • Knowledge of information technology terms, equipment, systems, functions, and major vendors.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Effective analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Effective people skills and customer relationship skills.
  • General understanding of IT operating and capital investment budgets.
  • Understanding of the company's existing IT environment and applicable company policies, practices, and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree.
  • Knowledge of the Company's strategic plan, regulatory and political environment, as well as the Company's policies, procedures, and practices, and applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
