Position Overview

Maine Medical Center - Portland is seeking a proficient MRI Technologist with a strong background in trauma care. This role requires expertise in operating advanced Philips MRI systems across various locations.

Certification Requirements
  • ARRT (MR) and AMRIT certifications are mandatory.
  • Maine State Licensing for MRI is not required.
Job Responsibilities
  • Perform MRI scans with a focus on Neuro and MSK imaging.
  • Utilize Philips MR systems effectively, ensuring high-quality imaging.
  • Handle patients in Level 1 trauma situations, including those requiring anesthesia and ICU care.
  • Maintain proficiency in neuro-spine, brain perfusion, and abdominal imaging.
  • Collaborate with a team to enhance patient care and workflow efficiency.
Work Schedule
  • 3 overnight shifts (12 hours each) on weekends.
  • Guaranteed weekly hours: 36.
  • No on-call duties required.
Unit Information
  • Facility capacity: 650+ beds.
  • Patient-to-technologist ratio: 1:1.
  • Equipment includes Philips MR 1.5T and 3T systems.
  • Work with both inpatient and outpatient populations.
