Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse II to join our team at the Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide complex care to individuals with medical, mental health, and/or behavioral health issues.

Key Responsibilities:
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
• Assist with patient care, including vital sign monitoring and health screenings
• Instruct direct support professionals on how to provide care and support to individuals
• Perform technical nursing procedures, such as tracheostomy care and wound care
• Collect specimens for laboratory examination and conduct screening tests as requested
• Monitor individuals' health status after treatments and procedures
• Document and report pertinent treatments and observations in the individual's medical record
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care
• Provide education and support to individuals and their families

Requirements:
• Current licensure as a Licensed Vocational Nurse in the state of Texas
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
• Current CPR certification
• Ability to lift and move patients as needed
