Job Title: LVN PRN

We're seeking a skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team at Texas Nurse Connection. As a PRN LVN, you'll have the flexibility to create your own schedule and work in a variety of settings, including nursing homes, home health agencies, and county hospitals.

Job Duties:
  • Provide nursing care to residents as prescribed by the physician and in accordance with standards of nursing practices and regulations.
  • Supervise Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) staff in the delivery of direct resident care.
  • Manage and analyze patient care following admission/readmission, conducting initial assessments for newly admitted or readmitted patients.
  • Assist in creating and implementing care plans that address individual residents' needs.
  • Administer medications, IV therapy, gastronomy tube management, wound care, and other relevant responsibilities.
  • Monitor residents and communicate changes to physicians.
  • Ensure appropriate documentation of resident care and maintain medical records to ensure safe, efficient, and therapeutic care to residents.
  • Troubleshoot and investigate complaints, taking necessary action to resolve problems as necessary.
Requirements:
  • Holds a current LVN/LPN license in good standing.
  • One year experience preferred.
  • CPR/First Aid/AED certified.
  • BLS (AHA) required.
