Position Overview

Element Palmdale is seeking a dedicated OEM Sales Executive to enhance our team. We are committed to fostering an environment where you can GROW, BELONG, and SUCCEED.

The OEM Sales Executive will play a crucial role in achieving set objectives linked to the overall success of the hotel. This individual will be tasked with effectively identifying and securing new business opportunities. Collaborating closely with the Director of Sales, the OEM Sales Executive will strive to meet the hotel's revenue and market share targets across one or more properties. The sales focus may differ based on the specific property assigned to the individual (e.g., Leisure, Business Travel, Group, SMERF). Management-level associates are expected to dedicate the necessary time each workday to fulfill their responsibilities; for OEM associates, overtime is applicable and calculated accordingly.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required; prior experience in Hotel Sales is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license for the applicable state is necessary.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for negotiating, persuading, selling, and influencing other managerial personnel, hotel guests, and corporate clients.
  • Experience in professional selling techniques is desired, including opening, probing, supporting, and closing.
  • Proficiency in general computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office products, is required.
  • The ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks simultaneously is crucial; strong organizational and presentation skills are a must.
Core Duties:
  • Achieve assigned sales and revenue targets, along with solicitation call objectives.
  • Proactively engage in solicitation calls, conduct sales tours, and entertain clients specific to Leisure, SMERF, Business Travel, and/or Groups as applicable.
  • Enhance existing relationships with assigned accounts relevant to Leisure, SMERF, Business Travel, and/or Groups.
  • Monitor and assess trends within your market segment.
  • Approach all interactions with guests and colleagues in a friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
  • Adhere to established regulations, company standards, sales metrics, and sales protocols.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of hotel operations and policies across relevant departments.
  • Maintain a strong presence in the local community and industry organizations as appropriate.
  • Assist in the implementation and/or participation in special promotions related to direct sales segments, such as sales blitzes.
  • Attend required meetings and functions as directed by management.
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by the General Manager or Director of Sales.

Compensation Structure

Minimum: USD $50,000.00/Yr.

Midpoint: USD $52,500.00/Yr.

Maximum: USD $55,000.00/Yr.
