We are seeking a skilled Sonography Technologist to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health. As a vital member of our medical imaging department, you will be responsible for operating ultrasound equipment to perform various procedures and studies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate ultrasound equipment to perform general, vascular, and cardiac procedures/studies
  • Accurately differentiate between normal and pathologic findings
  • Position patients and select proper transducers and technical factors for accurate ultrasound procedures
  • Maintain records in accordance with regulatory agencies and enter patient information into the radiology information system
  • Analyze sonograms and communicate findings to physicians

Requirements:

  • Advanced training in Sonography from an accredited program
  • Competency in all general and/or vascular sonographic procedures
  • Ability to use independent judgment to accurately differentiate between normal and pathologic findings

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, and twist throughout the workday
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. from floor to waist and carry up to 40 lbs. a reasonable distance

About the Job:

This is a full-time position that offers a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. Our benefits package includes holiday pay, guaranteed hours, continuing education opportunities, and more.
