Position Overview:

Deliver outstanding customer service in a secure and hygienic environment to encourage repeat visits. Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate a commitment to customer service that makes both internal and external customers feel valued and appreciated.
  • Maintain professionalism, exhibit a positive demeanor, and represent the company favorably in customer interactions.
  • Administer immunizations to customers in accordance with Kroger's established protocols.
  • Effectively complete clinical services as per the designated caseload.
  • Dispense medications accurately based on prescriptions while adhering to legal and ethical standards.
  • Compound medications using standard procedures, including weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients.
  • Review prescriptions for accuracy and determine necessary formulas and ingredients.
  • Verify new medications against existing patient profiles to prevent drug interactions.
  • Oversee the work of Pharmacy Technicians and Interns, ensuring the accuracy of all assembled prescriptions.
  • Assist in special promotions in collaboration with the Pharmacy Manager.
  • Engage the pharmacy team to maintain appropriate inventory levels and follow recall protocols.
  • Stay informed about current and upcoming promotions.
  • Adhere to all state and federal regulations regarding licensing and renewals.
  • Implement established procedures for quality assurance and secure handling of controlled substances.
  • Work proactively to prevent and report incidents of theft or fraud.
  • Support equipment maintenance through proper inspection and repair.
  • Promote safety initiatives by complying with safety protocols and addressing unsafe conditions.
  • Report any customer or employee accidents to management promptly.
  • Adjust personal schedules to cover shifts as needed.
  • Communicate ongoing store programs effectively.
  • Share relevant information with department members that impacts operations.
  • Comply with company policies and union agreements.
  • Follow all applicable laws and guidelines, including HIPAA and DEA regulations.
  • Collaborate with team members to foster teamwork and align organizational goals.
  • Encourage trust and respect within the team.
  • Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must hold a valid Pharmacist license in good standing.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong planning and organizational abilities.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy is essential.

Preferred Experience:

  • Previous management experience is advantageous.
  • Experience in pharmacy settings.
  • Background in retail is beneficial.
