Position Summary

Are you ready to take on a pivotal role in overseeing business systems and project teams? We are looking for a Manager of Business Systems and Project Support.

In this role, you will deliver expert guidance in business systems and project management for the Systems Support and Project Management Offices. These areas are crucial in supporting the strategic goals of the Division and Agency, ensuring that business systems effectively serve the needs of the Agency and its clientele. You will be responsible for the daily operations of business systems support and for the development of the Project Management Office. Your leadership will be essential in fostering best practices and standard procedures in project management, business analysis, testing, and customer relationship management.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  1. A minimum of four (4) years of experience in business systems support, business analysis, testing, project management, change management, or business design, with a focus on analysis, decision-making, and consulting with senior leadership to enhance business functions.
  2. Proven experience in leading or supervising teams, demonstrating the ability to motivate, delegate effectively, and resolve conflicts.

Candidates who meet the above qualifications will be assessed on the following criteria:

  • Capability to manage time efficiently, work autonomously under pressure, adapt to changing priorities with minimal notice, and collaborate effectively with a diverse group of individuals.
  • Demonstrated experience in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to inform decision-making while navigating change and challenges.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills to convey expectations to staff, technical teams, non-technical audiences, and stakeholders.
  • Experience in establishing and nurturing positive relationships with clients at all levels, including individuals from diverse backgrounds and underserved communities.

*A Bachelor's degree or higher may substitute for one year of experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge and experience in driver and motor vehicle services.
  • Experience in prioritizing system maintenance tasks and developing strategic roadmaps for projects and system upkeep.
  • Familiarity with industry best practices, trends, and emerging technologies.
  • Experience in Business Analysis, Testing, and/or Project Management on large-scale software initiatives.
  • Experience collaborating with state or local government on policy development and implementation.
  • Training and experience in process improvement methodologies.
  • Experience working alongside technical teams to support extensive software applications.

Physical Requirements

This role may require occasional movement and transportation of items such as file folders and small tools. It may also involve maintaining a stationary position for extended periods while performing job duties.
