Job Summary

Ohio Living is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Unit Manager - RN to lead our nursing team at Ohio Living Westminster-Thurber. As a Unit Manager - RN, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our nursing department, ensuring the highest quality of care for our residents and patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operations Management: Ensure that all staff involved in providing care to residents and patients are aware of the care plan/documentation and that care plans are used in administering daily care to residents and patients.
  • Medication Management: Monitor all medication passes and treatment schedules to ensure that medications and treatment are administered as ordered.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise a designated unit or area of the Nursing Department at a life plan community, fostering a positive work environment that attracts, retains, and motivates employees.
  • Quality Improvement: Consistently share opinions and observations of departmental operations with the Director of Nursing and ADON to help improve quality and efficiencies of the department.
  • Communication: Attend all-employee and departmental meetings and in-service training as scheduled or as directed.
Requirements
  • One year experience as a supervisor in a hospital, long term care facility, or other related healthcare facility required.
  • Three years experience working as a nurse in a hospital, long term care facility, or other related healthcare facility required.
  • Proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and the internet.
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR).
