Behavioral Health Nurse Practitioner Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary team at Spurwink Services. As a key member of our adult behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment team, you will play a vital role in providing integrated care to adults in our community.
Salary: $100,000 - $120,000 per year (based on experience)
Job DescriptionIn this full-time salaried position, you will provide psychiatric evaluations, assessments, and medication management services to clients. You will also demonstrate respect for client self-determination, motivation, skills, and priorities, with the goal of optimizing client recovery.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting in-person visits with clients in various settings, such as their homes, hospitals, and physician offices
- Facilitating treatment and education groups
- Participating as a member of a multidisciplinary team and serving as a resource for colleagues
- Assisting treatment teams with development, implementation, and ongoing monitoring of treatment plans
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A graduate degree from an accredited Baccalaureate Nursing Program and completion of an accredited graduate or certificate advanced practice education program
- Maintenance of current Maine Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Nurse Licensure, and national certification as a certified mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC)
- Post-licensure experience working with individuals with serious mental illness and developmental disabilities in community health, primary care, hospital, or psychiatric setting preferred
