We are seeking a skilled Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) to join our multidisciplinary team in the Bridgton/Portland community.

$83,500 - $120,000 per year salary range, depending on experience, with generous stipends for nights and weekend on-call, and reimbursement for licensure and CMEs.

Job Description

We offer comprehensive care services for adults with serious mental illness and developmental disabilities. As a PMHNP-BC, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing psychiatric evaluations, assessments, and medication management services.
  • Demonstrating respect for client self-determination, motivation, skills, and priorities, with the goal of optimizing client recovery.
  • Providing client, family/caregiver teaching and education about health and wellness.
  • Conducting in-person visits with clients in various settings, based on client needs.
  • Facilitating treatment and education groups.
  • Participating as a member of a multidisciplinary team and serving as a resource for colleagues.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A graduate degree from an accredited Baccalaureate Nursing Program and completion of an accredited graduate or certificate advanced practice education program.
  • Maintenance of current Maine Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Nurse Licensure, and national certification as a certified mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC).
  • X waivered, or willingness to obtain an X waiver, and post-licensure experience working with individuals with serious mental illness and developmental disabilities in community health, primary care, hospital, or psychiatric setting preferred.
