*Sign-On Bonus - $2,000*

Salary Range: Minimum $38,521 - Midpoint $42,203*

*Compensation is based on relevant experience.

*Salary reflects a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) or 40 hours per week. Part-time hours will be adjusted accordingly.

Essential Qualifications for a Medical Assistant:

1. High school diploma or GED

2. Completion of a Medical Assistant Program with a Graduate Certificate

3. Current certification as a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)

4. BLS certification

Role Summary:

Under general supervision, the Medical Assistant will perform a variety of administrative and clinical tasks within a UNMMG Ambulatory Clinic. Responsibilities include direct patient interaction, managing patient registration, confirming demographic information, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance eligibility, obtaining referrals and prior authorizations, facilitating patient check-in/check-out, and collecting co-pays. Additionally, the Medical Assistant will gather patient data and medical history while executing routine medical functions.
