Advocate Aurora Health is hiring a Surgical Technologist for a 40-hour per week, flexible shift position.

  • Function as a member of the surgical team in the scrub role on surgical procedures
  • Prepare and maintain the sterile field
  • Participate in maintaining the readiness of the Operating Room
  • Maintain a professional work environment
  • Demonstrate accountability for own self development
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited Surgical Technologist Program
  • Ability to work well with internal and external customers
  • Fine motor skills
  • Ability to wear a surgical mask and gloves
  • Auditory skills which allow incumbent to hear individuals whose speech may be muffled
  • CPR certified
  • Certified Surgical Technologist certification from the NBSTSA within 90 days of hire
  • Ability to work under stressful conditions and in difficult situations
  • May be exposed to hazardous materials and life threatening diseases
  • Ability to work rotating shifts and day of the week, including holidays and take call as needed
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with established time constraints
  • Ability to communicate with mask on and not facing others
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance
