Job Title: Surgical Technologist

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team in Palos Hills, Illinois.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist to assist in the preparation and maintenance of the sterile field during surgical procedures. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work well under pressure, and demonstrate a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and maintain the sterile field during surgical procedures
  • Assist the surgical team in maintaining a safe and efficient operating room environment
  • Participate in the preparation and maintenance of surgical equipment and supplies
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless patient care
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of surgical procedures and protocols
Requirements:
  • Graduate from an accredited Surgical Technologist program
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and stand for long periods
