STS Technical Services is seeking a skilled Avionics Technician to join our team in Lawrenceville, Georgia.
Job Summary:The Avionics Technician will perform a wide range of tasks, including mechanical/structural removal, installation, repair, and modification of aircraft and components. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience with avionics test equipment, and the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Responsibilities:- Perform complex electrical/electromechanical troubleshooting and repair of avionics systems.
- Use special tooling, such as torque wrenches and calipers, to assemble close tolerance parts.
- Install and maintain various types of avionic equipment and related devices.
- Apply technical knowledge of electronics principles to determine equipment malfunctions and restore equipment operations.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections, trouble-shoot, repair, and modify airframe components and associated equipment.
- Valid Airframe & Powerplant License required.
- Learjet 45 experience required.
- Learjet 35 experience a plus.
- Avionics experience a plus.
- High School Education or GED equivalent.
- Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and portable stands without assistance.
- Ability to work at heights 20 feet above the ground.
- Ability to work in extreme heat/cold.
- Ability to work in noisy, vibrating environments with proximity to moving mechanical parts.
